Playtime with 9 year-old Khmer girl

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Playtime with 9 year-old Khmer girl

Post by Otis »

She's bright and very active and lives and goes to school in walking distance from the River. Anyone with kids for meeting up at the playground near Wat Phnom or the similar playground near the Palace for some playtime with her. She's quite comfortable around foreigners but does not have any barang playmates now.

She grew up in an extended family out in the boonies so she has always had children of different ages around her and plays very well with them.

BTW a few of the things in the Wat Phnom playground are broken. Any speculation on how one might get them fixed?

It was great when it was first built around 2008, but there's been zero maintenance since.
You could bring her to 3Mangos on 360, there are quite a few kids there on Sundays.
Silence, exile, and cunning.
