Best place to stay two months - PP, Siem Reap, Sihanoukville or Battambang?

If you had a choice of where to stay for two months which would you choose, PP, Siem Reap, Sihanoukville or Battambang?

Basically, I will be writing and the rest of the time focusing on health and fitness. Not interested in drinking etc. Just writing and hopefully find a good gym and pool.

Any suggestions on the pros and cons of the major cities? Suggestions on mid-price short term rentals?

Any tips much appreciated.

what do you enjoy doing?day/Night what months? .....gym is only ,what 2 hours/day???
right off the bat, i'd take battambang off the list
how about Kampot with trips to kep?

I'm doing the same thing at the moment.

Definitely Siem Reap if you're in any way strong, the gyms in SHK are pathetic.

SHK if you want the sea.

thanks for the tips guys. By the sea at SHK sure sounds good, being a porker that needs to get in shape, any gym with a pool nearby is going to be fine.

Kampot looks a bit sleepy, yet hotel accommodation seems expensive, am I missing something?

Would anyone know how the short term rental costs compare between SHK, PP, SR and Kampot?

for short term rentals SHV will be your best bet lots of cheap places that do monthly
im paying monthly for mine and i havent even paid a deposit lol

I've just been to Kampot for a few days. So many hipsters. Beards everywhere.

Yeah, SHK is best then.

Cheap accom is everywhere in SHK.

Decent gym for fat bastard meant to be 45 per month with pool in hotel near Golden Lion.

Just be warned, I would think about having a place wit air con. Exercising a lot + working in a humid room makes you very sleepy when it comes to productivity.
