How did you and your friend find those rooms if you don't mind answering.OKW wrote:A friend is paying 60 bucks a month, furnished, ac and tv on the ground floor in Siem Reap. Also gated and locked at night, and security in the street. Elec and water go extra at 85 bucks a month. I rented a brand new and slightly more classy one for 130 p/m before elec and water last year in Siem Reap. Very secure. SHV might be different, I have only visited a few times. GH/ Hotel was real cheap 50 meters from the beach. Very clean, beautiful view and spacious for $7 a night. I was very surprised. It had a good restaurant too.
I'm getting bored of beach.

There is a recently built block of $50 apartments right behind my place. I can see into them, I know what they look like. Good luck to any foreigner who wants to live in a 3 square meter room. My kitchen is bigger than that - and it's an actual kitchen, not a camping stove in the corner.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

no, I don't mind at all. Mine was in the wat bo area, 20 street. Diagonal across from Apsara market and right next to Two Dragons GH. Walking to the center, yet very quite at night. It had a flat screen tv, air and a new fridge in the big kitchen. Hot and cold water and nice furniture. Lots of windows. Owned by nice khmer people who run a restaurant out of the front. My buddy does not speak a word of english or khmay, so I will have to relay his info once I got it.

It's doable? Staying in a cell in a prison is doable too, it doesn't mean it's desirable.2000rielpineapples wrote:its do able.John Bingham wrote:There is a recently built block of $50 apartments right behind my place. Room measurements were 4 x 4 mtrs. with bathroom 2.5 x 1m, ceiling height 3 m. Place to put an AC if you wanted. You should get out more Bingham, And stop deriding people (foreign and Khmer) for living in perfectly acceptable places. Most are middle class Khmer kids. I found it a bit small, but I prefer an apartment. Each to his own.
Center of Russeo Keo is 10-15 mins on a moto. Troll. I used to make it down to Tuol Tumpung in 30 min in morning rush hour. I'll show you which roads to take and show Bingham around town.
2000riel. Lithuania is the among the fastest growing economies in the EU. Yes, they have the Euro.
