I need to but unfortunately still haven't since then.
However different people I know with various cars have been going almost every month since last july. Last one was my tenant who came back 5 days ago from a 7 days trip to Pattaya.
They all have been using Hat Lek as an entry point with no problems whatsoever, apart a possible insurance fee increase.

I really wish they keep it this way and that this regulation was as you guessed only intended at the chinks even if providing a wider spectrum, maybe for avoiding any discriminatory issues ?
