MARCH OF THE PENGUINS?

Some Christian fundamentalists in the US were so moved that they arranged
special showings, apparently convinced that penguins (like Muscovy ducks in
Chinese iconography) are exemplars of fidelity and marital and parental virtues.

Then we got to hear tales of allegedly-gay penguins and - this is stretching
credulity to its limits - female penguins in the South Sandwich Islands willing
to turn tricks in exchange for a nicely-shaped nest-building stone, plus
Attenborough's dishearteningly report that some of these shameless females
steal their neighbours' unattended nesting stones the moment the opportunity
for larceny presents itself.
