there r lots of stupid rankings, best seat, best food, best inflight entertainment, best value, best ground services etc etc
Money is not the problem, the problem is no money

I've liked Bangkok Airlines in the past, but their fleet is getting very old and the last airplane I rode on from PP to BKK, the outside of the airplane looked like they had been "offroad." It was filthy. Service was still good on the flight and it went to Big Swampy and not the old airport like Airasia. Time for them to upgrade their fleet now that Thai Smile is going to give them competition on the PP to BKK route.

Bangkok Airways: Good for 10 Years
Certified to fly 10 years
June 18, 2019
BANGKOK, 18 June 2018: If we needed assurance of Bangkok Airways’ airworthiness here it is as the president of the airline displays a freshly printed Air Operating Licence issued by Thailand’s Civil Aviation Authority.
The issue of certificates followed last years ICAO green flag for Thailand’s aviation compliance ending a couple of years under a cautionary red flag.
CAAT conducts robust checks and scrutiny of all airlines registered in Thailand and issues the AOL for a 10-year period with annual scrutiny and checks.
The license permits Bangkok Airways to operate scheduled or non-scheduled flight air services within Thailand and also international services for 10 years.
