Actually the human DNA pool is extremely small, we have significantly less genetic diversity than other species, which is why you're always seeing someone you recognise, waving and then realising it wasn't them. Or finding your doppelganger on Facebook. Current theory is that we are descended from a maximum of 10,000 individuals, maybe even 2000.
