Not only does the road have a great atmosphere, it also has many side streets worth checking out for cuisine from all over the world. The night markets surround this area and are one of the main attractions of Siem Reap. The markets are great fun to walk around and you will find absolute bargains around every corner. In order to know where you are in Siem Reap use Pub Street as your starting point and walk out from there.

I think you're talking about the more tourist oriented 'Pub Street, read the OP again, he is asking about the local oriented pub streets.StephanieG wrote:Not only does the road have a great atmosphere, it also has many side streets worth checking out for cuisine from all over the world. A long walk or - better - a cycle ride around the area will inform the punter that the area is well-stocked with sleaze establishments, some very new, including one in the street parallel to Abacus Lane (going in the airport direction) which is unashamedly labelled a LOVE HOTEL quite in the old-style Japanese manner, i.e. before the ones in Japan became 'Fashion Hotels.'

Some of the KTV's are not too bad and some of the beer gardens have pretty decent food. Though I only ever go when in a big group, no fun otherwise.
Some travel agents have included the beer gardens in their city tours.

Also, Platinum and Legacy are both pretty decent KTVs that are fairly well priced and won't rip you off, ie. 1L bottle of JW black for ~55$, rooms for 5-10$/hr. Would stay away from Sok San and TopTown tho, atleast that was my exp. from a few years back.Jamie_Lambo wrote: ↑Thu Apr 06, 2017 5:09 pmi did actually go check this place out a couple of months after this thread started last yearJamie_Lambo wrote: ↑Mon Mar 28, 2016 11:19 am might take a trip up to SR soon to check this out, sounds good!
