I do hope so. My only regret is that it probably won't end up on social media like his crimes did. I'm a pretty stoney-hearted fucker in the main - the sight of gore, death and atrocities often leaves me pretty unmoved now. However, what that cunt got up to had me near shaking with rage and there is nothing that could be done to him that would make me turn away in horror or feel an iota of pity for his suffering.

Suspected Child Torturer Captured In Vietnam

A 25-year-old Vietnamese man was arrested in Ho Chi Minh City on Wednesday evening in relation to graphic videos allegedly showing him repeatedly torturing a young Cambodian boy, according to an investigator involved in the manhunt.

James McCabe, head of the Child Protection Unit, a policing charity involved in the investigation, said Nguyen Thanh Dung was arrested shortly before 9 p.m., a day and a half after the videos were leaked online.

“I can confirm that Task Force Uniform members made an arrest in Saigon of a Vietnamese national, the name of Nguyen Thanh Dung,” Mr. McCabe said, adding that the force involved Cambodian and Vietnamese police units.

He said two Cambodian men who had been arrested by police on Tuesday were released without charge, and the suspect’s Dutch boyfriend, 53-year-old Stefan Struik, was cooperating with authorities investigating the case.

Police said Mr. Struik, who holds Cambodian citizenship and owns cacao plantations and a palm sugar warehouse in the country, would be sent to court today for allegedly failing to report the abuse.

Having kids of the same age I couldn't get myself to look at the videos. The various posters depictions were graphic enough already but I read in today's local press that the videos were taken by a standstill phone, hence possibly implicating one perpetrator only ?

Some new information here on Struik's role in the affair and the phone that was used to film the abuse:

[Thanh Dung]Tangdung’s boyfriend of two years, Dutch national and Mondulkiri plantation owner Stefan Struik, has been assisting police with their enquiries since being arrested en route to Kampong Cham, according to the CPU’s McCabe.

Two Cambodians who were arrested alongside Struik were released yesterday afternoon, according to Kampong Cham deputy provincial police chief Heng Vuthy. McCabe was at pains to stress that neither of the two – who are employees of Struik’s palm sugar plantation – are suspected of any wrongdoing.

A second Mondulkiri deputy police chief, Hang Chansothy, said yesterday that Struik had driven Tangdung to a bus station on Tuesday after a police manhunt began, facilitating his escape across the border to Vietnam.

Chansothy added that Tangdung had used Struik’s phone to film the abuse and upload it to a Facebook account in the Dutchman’s name.

Deputy police chief Chansothy said that Struik will be punished for failing to report the abuse when he first discovered it.
