Today - Two were killed and many others were injured caused by a massive explosion on a truck full of explosive firecrackers on National St. 5 in Monkol Borei District, Bonteay Mean Chey Province at 11 am on 1 September, 2017.
The victims were shredded into small pieces mixing with the debris of the car. Police have reported that there were three motorbikes and explosive fireworks stuffed at the back of pickup truck.

I doubt they were carrying military explosives illegally, huge fines or imprisonment for that, and not much access to non-military personnel now.

I've seen reports of similar incidents in Hong Kong, China and India, no safety regulations, big mistake.

Throw some gunpowder and some petrol into the back of a pickup. Add a couple of guys smoking for good measure. Give the whole load a good shaking on a Cambodian road.

Looking at the truck remains there could not be any survivors . Would have been same as a car bomb in a war zone.
