Yes, they microwave a burger at BK to defrost, then roll it through their 'flame grilled/broiled SS flop house and comes out looking pretty dismal. Sorry to say.Drifter wrote:the beef patty in the Whopper photo is so sad, and they claim it's "flame grilled" ?
hahaha ohh really ... certainly frozen for a few years and probably microwaved as there's not a single drop of juice and that's why they need to cover with salad and sauces otherwise it would be obvious.
the bread, full of butter and the cheapest coconut oil and steamed, problem is after 10 minutes it turns to shit, just try and see, that's where steaming comes handy, if it was grilled or recooked in a pan it would become a mess .. i shoudl try taking one of their burgers home and recook the bread and the beef.
Hey, I made it onto the right thread without the Johnny Walker. How about that. Like I said on another thread with Ebola ... go get a brain freeze with a Blizzard from DQ. Better than Ebola anyhow.

As a teenager I worked at Hungry Jack's (burger king in Australia) for a few years. The beef patties are indeed flame grilled (broiled) from a frozen state and then placed in a steamer. On order the bun and patty are microwaved for a quick reheat before the condiments are added.
Precooked patties tend to have a questionable appearance to whether they are indeed beef.

it's funny they sell it as if they were actually BBQing the patty when in fact the meat is soft just because of the microwaving, not because of the broiling, there must be a shitload of chemicals and colorants inside the beef patty to make it look fresh.YourMother wrote:Yes, they microwave a burger at BK to defrost, then roll it through their 'flame grilled/broiled SS flop house and comes out looking pretty dismal. but it doesn't, a fresh patty would be juicy and it would smell good.
BK beef is almost tasteless, on par with a microwaved frozen meatball.
why else they need to cover it up with salad and tomatoes and sauces ?

there's nothing wrong in broiling, apart for their deceptive marketing.Digg3r wrote:As a teenager I worked at Hungry Jack's (burger king in Australia) for a few years. i could even accept the microwaving, but it's the beef that is shit, no matter how they cook it o recook it.
a good burger is good even if it's made of two slices of bread and one beef patty.
i would add a slice of cheese, and that would be a decent cheeseburger, nothing else needed as long as the beef is juicy and well cooked.
instead what BK is selling is frozen and microwaved shit with tons of useless bells and whistles to please the eye but there's no substance, it's 100% junk food and yet it tastes a lot better than McDo or KFC, go figure.

Steak sandwich, anyone ?
With meat that you can chew with your teeth, as opposed to chopping it into bite-sized pieces with a chainsaw.

Which one do you go to? I'm getting ripped off, I've never got a bell OR a whistle in mine. The Looney Toons mugs and the Superman glasses were pretty good in their day though.Drifter wrote:instead what BK is selling is frozen and microwaved shit with tons of useless bells and whistles to please the eye but there's no substance, it's 100% junk food and yet it tastes a lot better than McDo or KFC, go figure.
Mind you, I think twice about eating a food product that NEVER decays if uneaten. Did you see that seven year old McDee's cheeseburger that was found in the pocket of a jacket, and still looked fresh?
