What can't you get hold of in Cambodia that you wish you could???

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Get your butt over to QueenCo gym for the latter two, they got kick boxing gear also but not sure if you'll find proper mates to spar though.
i was meaning boxing clubs/boxing gyms/boxing equipment

everywhere is either shit or overpriced, usually both

Paddys gym in PP was half decent for $6 a pop including guys to take you on the pads and guys to spar with

was gutted when that closed tbh
I only know of Golden lions that moved to the road past Monkey and is now for sale, and Pierres place which is out of the way and basic, more of a come stay here and get in shape resort. There must be one good boxing gym in town (albeit without the ring), no!? QueenCo does have some kickboxing gear though cause one of my mates was gonna start up some classes for them but ending going up to PP opening up a restaurant right now before they promoted it.

Raybull are you a member of Queenco?

If you are do you think westerners can hold onto that crossfit station without their feet hitting the ground?

I'm more of a sauna and massage guy, with the occasionnal arm curls so can't comment on the xfit gear. If you're a member, I'm sure if you bring any concerns to Milan's attention they would deal with it. If you're not, tou can try it out for a day for free. The guy is a conssumate pro trainer and stand up guy, and pretty much designed and built the thing from scratch, with the help of the Israeli owner of course.

What makes you think there are chemicals in the beer? Apart from Ganzberg that is.
I reckon he has a valid point though, morning piss after a session of local beer has a distinctly chemical smell, unlike anything I can recall back home or even in neighbouring countries. To settle the matter I bought a six pack of Leo beer and will await the olfactory results tomorrow morning. If the results are similar I'll indulge in a few European imports tomorrow night. If they're still similar, guess I better head to the doc for a Hep test. :beer3:

I hear ya mate! Only a couple gyms near that in PP that you probly know about already right, K1/Prokout maybe other one IIRC. I thoughts you was retiring to easy sparring with BGs. You still thinking of moving to the Big Stink, or just do 9 months on the new Thai visa mate, might head back there soon myself, always change my mind when I think about the hassle of relerning some thai though.

Funny, one of the best khmer chicks I ever met was in Pats.
Foreign bars here have been the same shit for the last four years or so mate, just more of them now. Girls change, Perspectives change, small town if you always in the same circles.
My mate has a nice place on 178st facing the Palace that he's gonna let go soon once he gets his visa to go back to NZ, bargained down from 400$ to 350$ Shortterm and maybe cheaper if you rent longterm. I'll dig up the pics if you're interested. Gonna be up there in a few days for his new restaurant also so will check it out.
