Welcome to Cambodia Expats Online!

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Flynn has nailed it.

CEO is SFW.

Check it out, can be done. (disabled that is). :good:

Gotta throw you some Karma for that, Flynn.

Excellent suggestion. I hadn't seen that option. :thumb:

Ha! Me neither. my vote was for keeping the avatars SFW, but simply disabling seems easy enough.

Carry on.

Yeah, I had to use it on that other forum for awhile. It is useful but it is either all or none. I wish there was an option to pick and choose whose avatars to block.

That's why I'm in favour of keeping them half decent.

I'd hate to see NO avatars, and I'd hate to have to be changing my settings every time I wanted to revert back.

GMack,

I agree that avatars should be decent but "the Original Sin" that got OD booted and hence this site started WAS the avatar.

My complaint was the movement not the subject. Yes other petty stuff was flying around, so petty I can't remember what.

Now i'm confused, should we stand on principle and allow (even mandate) lewd avatars (although there are better,

cleverer choices) or "fight for freedom".

What am I missing here?

ps: SFW= Work or Woman, I think the site should be woman friendly too.

My original suggestion was a JOKE, there is currently no real restriction on the avatar on the old forum (recently an women in string doing hula hoop was display without any sanction) , certainly none on this one. The user on both forum usually auto restrict themselves.

I think I will add NTBTS at the end of most of my statement "NOT TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY"

What other reason than OD's avatar then.

I think the crucial part you're forgetting about is that he was singled out. There was at least one or two other avatars that were just as sexy, but they only deleted his.

Whatever guidelines we set for avatars will be applied to everyone, including the admin/mod team.

My vote is to keep them somewhat work friendly, but not G-rated.
