Sihanoukville Beach Front New Look + Dolphin Shack

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

So correct me if i'm wrong, but that path that seperates bar from beach, was once in front of the bar, which was on the beach, with chairs nearer the sea?

Pictures of pub street would be nice. A 24hr beachcam would be even nicer! :color

from what i heard its more of a family legal tussle for deceased owner estate that stopped this project

Than it would be a first for one of the big projects in SKV like the "Marina" or the house/apartment projects by Don Bosco. If its a legal tussle, why is there construction going on. Usually in a legal dispute anywhere all money is frozen and construction stops. But 7 years of ongoing construction? Wash, launder, dry. Oh! How the clean money rolls in.

It's D'Seaview - opposite the ghost town that is Pearl City. They are actively trying to flog apartments.

Unlikely its D'sea view as all that is there is a cleared area of land. The Big hotel under construction looks like it is within the Pearl City development. D'sea view is on the other side of one of the access roads (eg go past Soka and go in there) from Pearl city.

Thanks Jamie.

That's a bloomin' useful diagram. :beer3:

Mind you, when i was there it was before any path ever existed...unless i never noticed?? :?

Which leads me to think that:

1. Originally a path never existed.
2. A path was made.
3. They decided later to move the bars and tables/chairs behind the path??

It isn't seaview. They have only done piling work so far. It won't be that high before mid 2017.
