Scammers on the increase in SR

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

But you still have to have a charger to charge the powerbank. When the charger thieves steal it your back to square one. The idea of the hand charger is to thwart the thieves :Yahoo!:
I think you have to move it, check the link, there's a vid

Give the motodop your various forums user names. Once he understands the array of your expertise on social housings, pineapple bargaining skills and gets the word around his colleagues, you shall be safe from any new setup attempts.

they want original chargers and cables, quit oftern cleaner will steal the chargers and replace with counterfit products or just take.

pretty scabby but its got to be the number one thing stolen in hostels in Cambodia my mate once going through three in one week in sinoukville.
Anybody who leaves their phone charger lying around to be stolen three times in one week while living in a dorm should stop leaving it in the communal plug. Notice that the phone was not stolen... tell your friend that a hostel dormitory is not his living room. Problem solved.

This is not a scam btw. Your "friend"is probably annoying the shit out of his dorm-mates and they are throwing his charger out the window for the neighbours' dogs to play with.

To quote Henry, from Henry's Kitchen - the biggest question I get asked, when I am on holiday, is: Do you want any weed?

"how long you stay cambodia,...? "

The correct answer to that is not 'today' or 'yesterday'. Those answers just mean to moto dops, tuk tuk drivers and bar girls, that you are ripe for the pickings.

Reply with "Dop ch'num howie". Then keep walking and don't make eye contact. No further problems. :thumb:

Hey, that one dollar you save in the dorm is two happy hour drafts! Funny thing is most backpackers and people like 2krp actually lose more money (ie. by way of theft) over a trip than if they had stayed in a decent private room. Don't expect them to understand that though.
