Cambodia Work Permit Consultancy: All Foreigners With an "E" Visa Need a Work Permit

This is where our community discusses almost anything! While we're mainly a Cambodia expat discussion forum and talk about expat life here, we debate about almost everything. Even if you're a tourist passing through Southeast Asia and want to connect with expatriates living and working in Cambodia, this is the first section of our site that you should check out. Our members start their own discussions or post links to other blogs and/or news articles they find interesting and want to chat about. So join in the fun and start new topics, or feel free to comment on anything our community members have already started! We also have some Khmer members here as well, but English is the main language used on CEO. You're welcome to have a look around, and if you decide you want to participate, you can become a part our international expat community by signing up for a free account.

Its a lucrtaive one for sure, that is the price. I met a Dutch guy going through the bollcoks. The UN have a huge base at Entebbe that services East Africa and way beyond. They are probably paying for every employee, yippee. Flash cars are rare but they have a much bigger middle class than Phnom Penh and the country's wealth comes from agriculture. Go figure.

NGO's, the UN and volunteer workers. They don't have much of a safari market in Uganda afaik; otherwise, them as well.

Last time I was in Kenya you just needed a credit card to obtain a 5 year visa that allowed you to work. Cost $350. They also don't have the stupid cars that you see around Cambodia. Someone I know here's car and watch is worth more than his house. If you add the second car in I guess they may be worth double.
Very odd behavior as wealthy people are supposed to be smart, right?

Couldn't find any reference to the $8000 fee...they do mention a proof of remittance, I assume that's a letter of guarantee/bank guarantee

Some visas are WAY cheaper than Cambodia (surprise!), $200/ 36 months

Uganda has a very decent wildlife tourism industry, gorillas.

9 very nice national parks, beautiful scenery, Murchison Falls, Lake Victoria, Lake Albert, Lake George, Lake Kyoga etc.

Some prices:(and no, these do NOT include visas/accommodation etc)

Discounted Rates on Gorilla Permits and Chimp Permits in April, May and November
Gorilla permits

$450 per permit for Non Foreign Residents
$400 per permit for Foreign Residents
UGX 150,000 per permit for East African Citizens

Chimp permits

$100 per permit for Non Foreign Residents
$100 per permit for Foreign Residents
UGX 100,000 per permit for East African Citizens

Pity about the fundamentalist Xtian nutters that feel killing gays is kosher, and expect to be god-bothered on public transport/ in public places.
