Khmer Language Questions (Learning and Speaking Cambodian)

Have questions or resources regarding Khmer Culture? This forum is all about the Kingdom of Cambodia's culture. Khmer language, Cambodian weddings, French influence, Cambodian architecture, Cambodian politics, Khmer customs, etc? This is the place. Living in Cambodia can cause you to experience a whole new level of culture shock, so feel free to talk about all things related to the Khmer people, and their traditions. And if you want something in Khmer script translated into English, you will probably find what you need.

Khmer Language Questions (Learning and Speaking Cambodian)

Post by Samouth »

This thread is mainly for those who are currently learning khmer or those who want to understand and find out about our language. I understand that khmer is not a easy language to learn especially when it comes to talk about writing and reading. It is really complicated. Not to mention, resources about khmer language are not widely available on Internet unlike English in which you can just find about everything of it on Internet. I have learned and improved my English via Internet as I can just google what i want to know. I understand this reason that's why i make this thread to help those who have problems with learning khmer. I am not an expert, but at least i am a native speaker :).

If you can't find the answer of your question on Internet or get someone to answer your question, please drop them here. Either I or Little salary will try our best to help.

It might be easier if you wrote your screen name in Khmer script. Phonetics sucks.

Agreed. Reading and writing is an essential part of learning the language IMHO.
