I agree Frank, it is absurd and an infringement of liberties I believe. But it is strictly enforced.

i have no cartilage in my knees which is very painful and even in the uk where i could get free drugs, i was in constant pain. staying in sihanoukville now, was recommended a Chinese herbal drug,no side effects and 100% successful after about 4 days.although i keep taking them. not expensive $3 which is nothing to the pain been taking them for 5 years.no problem. the pain has gone completly, the drug is called 606 jianbu tong mai dan but one has only to ask for 606 or 505.the herbalist is just across from the sammadeara supermarket in sihanoukville hope this helps any one with joint pains

Update : I am in Saigon and I was able to buy zolpidem over the counter which is usually a somewhat 'controlled' if not legally but practically most everywhere. So that tells me it is somewhat relaxed perhaps as much so as Cambodia? Did not try any other questionable or some straight laymans call it ' abused ' drugs such as oxycontin (delayed release oxycodone) as already have that etc...
Eg in the philippines though it does not have to have the yellow form needed for controlled such substances such as oxycodone, they do require a prescription and most pharmacies require id and unlike most other prescriptions they take the prescription and/or give you another if you don't buy the full amount. I was foolish for not bringing any of the several grams of powder of zolpidem i have at home already ordered from a chemical producer in China last year because wanted to stop the habit i have of using it too much but found I really wanted to sleep and could not.

But actually think one can and it may be in general as relaxed as Cambodia for i just bought zolpidem here in Saigon no questions asked but one funny thing in all 3 different pharmacies i asked they would only sell the minimum 14x10mg standard packet and not individually whereas in Philippines and also cambodia i recall they will cut the packet to as few as you want.

The fact that you refer to Ho Chi Minh City as Saigon would indicate that you are probably in your 50's or older.zmth wrote:Update : I am in Saigon and I was able to buy zolpidem over the counter which is usually a somewhat 'controlled' if not legally but practically most everywhere. Throw in all these chemicals that you need to support your existence.
Plus your posts saying that you were refused entry for being ' too out of it ' in the wee hours of the morning,
I've got a feeling we could be reading about you in the papers soon.
You got some issues.

when the war ended, saigon was renamed to ho chi minh and the southern viets hated that, so until today they still refer to it as saigon as a sign of defiance, as my friends in VN are mostly southerners, i too use saigonUsername Taken wrote: The fact that you refer to Ho Chi Minh City as Saigon would indicate that you are probably in your 50's or older.

Yes I am over my 50' s and likely would have been drafted for the vietnam war had i not joined the national guard to get out of it. Now i am not interested in history or social studies but I thought usa was defending Saigon and south vietnam from north vietnam from communism or something like that or am i mistaken.
AS to being refused entry into that bar i think that owner assumed I was only a bit inebriated from alcohol but mainly did not want any new customers at that time. What is this about reading something in the papers ? Some of these people here are a bit weird and i may easily have a bad trip which is quite common with ketamine use whether first time or otherwise as getting paranoid while using it is quite common.
