Is it really true??
Re: Is it really true??
NY in Thailand? Annual New Year's celebrations in Pattaya are cancelled. Unsure of the rest of the country but the 100 days of mourning ensures there's to be no music and spectacle in anything of a celebratory nature. So in effect, NY is cancelled.Username Taken wrote:"ill be back in Cambodia for Christmas, Christmas with Kiwi "
Huh, you'll miss New Year then.

NO one has said if ALL celebrations are cancelled for new years YET
In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

Not so fast, mate. It's 100 days during funeral rites. Richard Barrow just updated his detailed collection of reports translated from Thai media:phuketrichard wrote:there is no 100 days of mourning;ExPenhMan wrote:NY in Thailand? Of course, that could change tomorrow. It looks like all concerts & major entertainment will be cancelled or postponed during the 100 day period. This is up to about 21 January. So, this would include new years celebrations. Certainly no fireworks or Countdown events.
