just start with a weight that is comfortable for you
How do I know what weight is comfortable for me?
because it will be too heavy to lift or it will hurt

its like asking "beer.how much can you drink.how much should I drink to start with?"

I know what you're getting at, but I don't agree with you.

Jesus Christ, maybe there are experts on a forum.

I was only expecting I picked x and it was too heavy or I picked y and wish I'd gone higher,

There are only a couple of different weights to choose from.
