The Phnom Penh " Vultures "
The Phnom Penh " Vultures "
You will find them parked outside of hotels, guesthouses and on street corners. They are there to hassle the shit out of you and rob and rip you off to the max.
Now I hope you know what I am on about, but for those not in the know, these pesky fucken " Tuk Tuk " drrivers.
The other day wanted to go to a bank, an ABA, ATM, and to Pharmacy de la Gare, a total of approx. 2 1/2 KMS and this prick wanted $6 for the trip, well fuck it, I walked.
The only way I can see of getting rid of these vermin is a second " Pol Pot " type person to get them off into the country and start digging ditches. Better still, start with a big hole as most will kick the bucket from a little hard toil so into the hole they go.

give them a little more time, most countries with over charging transportation service dies off eventually, coz other ppl will see the opportunity and set up metered transport service, supply n demand, the demand is there for metered servicesPopeye wrote:You will find them parked outside of hotels, guesthouses and on street corners. Get yourself a regular, reliable driver or motodop. Call them when you need them to pick you up.

In a nation run by swine, all pigs are upward-mobile and the rest of us are fucked until we can put our acts together: not necessarily to win, but mainly to keep from losing completely. HST

All tuktuk drivers are not scum.
That's like saying that all expats are bottomfeeders. And no we're not.

On the whole i,ve found both moto dops and tuktuk drivers ok and generally helpful. The few that aren't usually hang around backpacker ghettos and the like.Anchor Moy wrote:All tuktuk drivers are not scum.
